ERICA GENTRY is a passionate advocate for mental health who wants to help you realize that you can overcome any challenging season in life.

She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in the state of Tennessee. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University in 2007 and her master’s degree from the University of Tennessee in 2010. Her education, along with her 20-plus years of experience in youth development and mental health, have prepared her to fulfill her life’s mission of helping others during the most vulnerable stages of their lives. 

 Her therapy services are not limited to one approach. She strives to provide an environment that is inclusive of the needs of every person. In order to achieve this desire, she pursued diverse educational training and experiences that would expand upon her current knowledge. She has worked on a community-based project in Mexico and with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency Study. She also has experience working with youth development, foster care, trauma-informed care, the Public Defender’s office, and in the school social work setting. All of these opportunities have given her insight into a world outside of her own. Her desire is to serve you. No matter where you come from. Everyone needs someone to help them through whatever they may be facing along their life’s journey.

MATT DEAN is a father, husband, fly fisherman, gardener, and most would say a “normal dude”. Matt is a therapist in Nashville, Tennessee and works exclusively with men and men’s issues. I have extended experience working with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Relationship issues and how they present uniquely for men.

Matt started Spero Counseling because he found healing, fulfillment and peace were possible through therapy. Matt’s therapist gave him the tools for daily life and assisted in the healing of wounds underneath my issues and he is passionate in sharing that gift with other men.
