What Is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is the direct training of the brain to operate at its highest level. The training targets specific areas of the brain to help create new neurons and neural pathways.

What is LENS? (Low Energy Neurofeedback System)

LENS Neurofeedback is considered “non-traditional” neurofeedback because it is based on electrical brain activity, the electroencephalogram, or EEG. LENS Neurofeedback induces self-regulation. Self-regulation is a necessary part of optimal brain performance and function, allowing the nervous system to function better. Over 85% of clients have significantly benefited from LENS Neurofeedback Therapy, and results have been noticed as quickly as the first treatment.

How Does LENS Work?

Your LENScertified practitioner applies sensors to the scalp to record brainwave activity. This information is analyzed and sent back to the client through the sensors. The results improve the client’s quality of life by reducing and/or eliminating previous symptoms. Sessions are typically 20 minutes long and gentle and are surprisingly affordable.

What to Expect When Receiving LENS Neurofeedback Therapy

LENS Neurofeedback Therapy has been approved by the FDA. It is a non-invasive therapy and can barely be felt. The strength of the electrical current is less than that of a wristwatch. LENS is a proven therapy for symptoms caused by the Central Nervous System, but similarly to training coordination, clients may need a series of sessions for the “brain training” to maintain a lasting impact. We recommend clients to participate in a minimum of 10 sessions.

Is LENS therapy long-lasting?

Yes! After the brain has adapted to a more advantageous method of operating, it will use these new skills frequently and will reinforce them. When dealing with degenerative disorders like Parkinson’s or Dementia, or when defending the body against ongoing insults from the environment of the body, LENS therapy should be continued at some level.

If Neurofeedback is so successful, why haven’t I heard of it before?

Evidence confirming the excellent outcomes of neurofeedback is expanding daily. More than 130,000 scholarly papers on EEG, 450 on Neurofeedback and 8500 peer-reviewed publications on biofeedback are all listed by the National Institute of Health. The journal Views In Pediatrics referred to neurofeedback as ‘the most effective treatment for ADHD in a piece that appeared in Time Magazine.

Why Choose LENS Therapy?

The passive nature of LENS Neurotherapy is what sets it apart. Unlike all other slower traditional neurofeedback therapies, LENS does not train. Brainwaves only focus on a few places and demand that the patients take part in the process of learning to control their brain waves using visual and audio monitoring. Traditional neurofeedback requires visits several times every week for 40-60 sessions. Patients using LENS therapy typically complete their sessions in 10-20 visits on average. This is largely dependent on each individual’s history and conditions being treated.

With LENS, our goal is to bring the client through the fewest number of treatments with the best results as rapidly as possible.

Compared to other therapies, the LENS system is:
● Long lasting
● Fast results
● No pain
● Non-invasive
● Involved no drugs
● Is suitable for toddlers to seniors
● Each treatment lasts less than 15 minutes

What will I feel during a session?

Some patients may experience stimulation, fatigue, or even mild spaciness. These effects, however, are transient and could last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. They show that the patient is receptive to the signal and that the therapy is working. In general, both during and after a session, patients’ report feeling peaceful, relaxed, and focused.

How does LENS work in the brain?

Just, the frozen, inflexible, and looping brain waves are disrupted and reset by the gentle signal transmitted to the brain, making them more flexible like your healthy brainwaves. By affecting only the physiology that sustains the disorder, it gradually promotes great neuronal connectivity. It will gradually re-calibrate the central nervous system so that it can speak to itself more effectively

How can LENS help with post-Covid Symptoms?

The advent of Covid has profoundly altered many aspects of our lives. Whether directly affected by the virus or merely navigating through the many changes, it has precipitated a surge in societal challenges. Heightened stress levels have fueled an uptick in anxiety, fear, depression, addictive behaviors, cognitive impairment, and more. Furthermore, emerging research suggests alterations in the nervous system observable in EEG readings among Covid survivors. Leveraging innovative approaches like LENS therapy offers promise in alleviating persistent symptoms and revitalizing dormant neural pathways, thereby enhancing overall brain function.

Disclaimer: There have been over 14 million LENS sessions to date in over 30 countries. LENS is very easy on the body and brain. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease, illness, or conditions. LENS Neurofeedback is solely a therapeutic technique. LENS provides a secure, non-pharmaceutical alternative strategy for healing to take place.
